The Takoma Park Police Department (TPPD) and Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department (TPVFD) are holding a toy drive through Dec. 13.
They are accepting new, unopened toys at the following locations:
- Takoma Park Police Department: 7500 Maple Avenue in Takoma Park
- Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department: 7201 Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park
TPPD is also accepting gift cards in an envelope addressed as “Lieutenant Joseph Butler – Toy Drive” and dropped off at the police administrative window.
TPPD said Takoma Park families that want to receive toys or gift cards can fill out forms in English, Spanish and Amharic. The form can be filled out online, printed or picked up in person at the administrative window. Then, the form can be submitted to Cathy Plevy online, scanned and emailed to Plevy at cathyp@takomaparkmd.gov or turned in to Plevy at the Takoma Park Police Department on 7500 Maple Avenue.
